My 4-Year Vision: The Road to the D1 Diamond

Updated: Nov 1

Welcome to my website, and thank you for your interest in my story.

My name is Ethan, and I'm an elite baseball player in Ontario, Canada. I've been so fortunate to be teammates with some talented baseball players, and to be coached by some of the best coaches around. I'm very grateful. I plan to continue working hard towards my goals, and I want to document my journey along the way.

I wanted to start by laying out exactly why I'm here and where I plan to be over the next 4 years. It's easy to say you want to play college baseball, but it takes a clear vision and a relentless plan to actually get there.

My goal isn't just to play at the next level—it’s to earn a spot on a competitive NCAA Division I roster where I can contribute and compete for a conference title. I believe a D1 program offers the best opportunity to push my limits both athletically and academically.

The Four-Year Blueprint

I’m currently 14 years old in 9th grade at MCVI in Oshawa, Ontario. I plan to tryout and get a spot on the Varsity Baseball Team this year, and keep playing competitively on my travel ball team, Ontario Yankees. The last 2 years have been very busy and intense, but it has only strengthened my desire to keep going towards my goal of playing for a D1 school.

I've broken down my commitment into a few critical phases:

Phase 1: The Next 12 Months (Skill & Strength) This year is all about measurable, repeatable improvement. My primary focus is on increasing my velocity/exit velocity and optimizing my mechanics. I am currently working on my explosive power, so that I can be more athletic behind the dish, and just improve my overall performance on the field. I want to be quicker, stronger, and sharper in my fielding and just all around a better athlete. I’m dedicated to the weight room four days a week to build and strengthen my frame needed for the next level.

Phase 2: The College Search (Recruitment & Academics) Over the next two years, the goal is to be undeniable to recruiters. This means maintaining my 3.8 GPA, reaching out to coaches, attending showcase events, and getting my name onto recruiting lists. I’m specifically looking for programs that value player development, quality education.

Phase 3: College/University Impact (2029) When I step onto campus, I want to be ready to compete. My vision is to not just be a practice player, but a critical part of the team's success. My long-term goal is to graduate with a degree in Sports Medicine, while leaving a legacy of hard work and leadership on the field.

Why I'm Sharing This

I’m sharing this vision for two reasons.

First, I want to be accountable. Posting these goals publicly motivates me to show up and put in the work every single day.

Second, this journey takes a village. Whether you're a coach who has helped me fix a mechanical flaw, a donor contributing to my travel costs, or a potential sponsor who sees value in my work ethic, your support is part of this vision. By partnering with me, you’re not just backing an athlete; you’re investing in a committed student who is driven to succeed in all areas of his life.

Thank you for following along. I look forward to sharing the successes—and the inevitable struggles—with you all!
