Off Season Grind

Now that 2026 is here, I can't wait until the season starts! I want to make this my best season yet!

I'm working hard at school, and I'm currently in exams, I have one more exam tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting my report card because I feel like I had a pretty good semester, and I put in my best effort. I got 97% on my geography ISU (project), so I'm pretty proud of that.

I hit the weight room at my school with a couple of buddies once or twice a week, and last week I hit a PR (personal best/record) -> 160lbs bench press. I'm feeling strong, keeping my protein and creatine intake up. I want to get stronger to be a power hitter.

I also achieved another PR -> 86mph on a pull down. I just feel good to see that number getting closer to 90mph. I know that it doesn't mean I will throw that off the mound, but it shows me that I can hit a higher speed this year, and that makes me happy.

Off season work is where the magic happens. I look forward to seeing how much stronger I can get. I want to hit 90mph on a pull down, and hopefully that translates to 80-83mph on the mound. I want to be a strong hitter and hit a few homeruns this season - at least 3. I want to work on the power behind my swing and squaring up the barrel for max exit velo.

School is going well. Grade 9 is great, I've enjoyed my classes and my teachers. I am doing well and finishing semester 1 pretty strong, and I hope to keep up the good momentum for semester 2.

We started fundraising for my spring training trip, and I'm so happy that we've been able to pay half of the total amount of the trip so far. My mom does a lot, but I'm grateful that there are some people who really want to support me and my dream of continuing to play baseball, hopefully professionally one day. I'm grateful for all the support, and I won't let you down.

My mom tells me that I should write more, but that's all I got for now.
